W PA Blues Society's Harptoberfest 2025 -Downstairs

Hey Harmonica lovers, get ready for Harptoberfest 2025!

The popular annual event known as Harptoberfest makes its way back to 565 Live - Speakeasy & Stage in Bellevue, PA. This awesome space has such a cool vibe, and the management and staff have your best interest first in mind. And if you're hungry for some delicious food, Grille 565 is just upstairs, and they'll bring it right to your table.

As always, we have a great selection of Pittsburgh area Harmonica artists lined up for you, and they'll be backed up by an all-star band.

THE HARMONICA PLAYERS

- Harmonica and Saxophone player, Hernan Brizuela, turned in a memorable set when he joined us for the first time in 2022, and I'm thrilled to have him return. You've likely caught Hernan around town with River City Blues, as well as other various projects. He gets better every time I see him!

- Jack Sanso has been blowing harp and singing in and around the region for decades, most recently with Blues Attack. His smooth vocals pair perfectly with his Harmonica playing. Tried and true!

- I've been trying to get Garth Asmussen on this program since it started, and I'm thrilled to announce his first Harptoberfest appearance. Garth has been playing throughout the area for decades as well, and after a brief hiatus from performing, is looking forward to returning to the bandstand. He's a talented multi-instrumentalist, innovative in his approach to everything he does, and promises to bring his fresh take on the Harmonica.

THE HOUSE BAND

The Harptoberfest House Band will be led by Pittsburgh's Jimmy Adler on Guitars, which in itself is worth the price of admission. Along with Jimmy, we'll have "Sudden Steve" Binsberger on Keys, Bob Insko on Upright Bass, and Youngstown's JR Richley behind the Drums.

I, Charlie Barath, will once again be your emcee and host for the evening, warming up the band to get things kicked off.

MEET & GREET

We tried something new at last last year's Harptoberfest, and it was so well received, we're gonna do it again. If you're the least bit curious about, or interested in, the Harmonica and/or the featured players, make your way to 565 Live early for an intimate pre-show Q&A session and Meet & Greet. You'll have the opportunity to ask the players anything you like - including but not restricted to - Harmonica related subjects. Expect plenty of jammin' and hammin' but no flimflammin".

The Meet & Greet is open to all paid attendees.
